The 6th Annual Neighbourhood Management Conference Delivering Lasting Change: Reviewing Progress and Realising the Potential for Developing Stronger Communities
Date Of Conference: 9/22/2005
This annual gathering for those endeavouring to target local services at the areas, and the people, in greatest need considers current concerns and the latest developments for improving neighbourhoods.
As government policies and initiatives develop with a greater focus on localism and devolving service delivery - neighbourhood management advances as an integral part of the neighbourhood renewal agenda. The conference will evaluate the progress of neighbourhood management schemes and explore the extent to which resource allocation and service delivery has been transferred to local level. Attention will be paid to new developments and community empowerment, while key areas for creating a real, lasting difference will be contemplated with a focus on innovative models and successful practices.
Sharing valuable lessons, considering current issues and debating effective ways of delivering progress for neighbourhoods is integral to the day. The programme has been developed to hear the latest thinking from a variety of viewpoints and to generate discussion about the policy and practice of neighbourhood management and neighbourhood renewal.
Following the success of the five previous conferences, this year’s event will continue to tackle issues and opportunities for strengthening neighbourhoods with the people who are committed to improving the quality of life for all in our communities.
“I would like to state how pleased I am to see the continued success of the Annual Neighbourhood Management Conference and wish you all the best for the coming event”
