Park & Ride 2005 Diversifying usage and creating quality schemes
Date Of Conference: 6/9/2023
Park & Ride 2005 is the third in a very successful annual series. Previous conferences have laid the ground work by discussing the background of Park & Ride, including how to plan, implement and run a scheme. This conference aims to consider some of the current issues relating to Park & Ride.
Topics for discussion include the potential conflict of interests that Park & Ride can cause, including the environmental impact and the effects on public transport. The conference will also consider more commercial aspects of Park & Ride, including maximising a scheme’s physical assets and finding and growing users through marketing and branding. The conference will conclude with an overview of different work based travel schemes, including local authority and private company schemes.
