This conference will identify the barriers facing those with a professional or personal interest in trying to achieve good design of streetscapes and public spaces, and hear how nationally and locally steps are being taken so these barriers can be overcome. As well as hearing the latest policy framework, a number of case studies will look at innovative approaches to improving streetscapes and public spaces, which enhance an area visually, economically and socially.
