This conference will look in depth at the latest good practice for dealing with incidents
and managing long-term traffic flow on major urban and interurban routes as they pass through towns and cities.

As well as looking at conventional traffic management problems, this conference will provoke a debate about the way that we approach traffic as simply something to be ‘managed’. It will reflect the need for greater thought to be given to mitigating the longer-term consequences of traffic growth.
