Park & ride schemes are an effective means of reducing traffic congestion, if they are well-designed, efficiently operated and effectively marketed. Now in its fifth year this well-established conference will look at the wide variety of park & ride schemes now being operated, encompassing those serving historic towns, busy city centres, business parks and hospitals, airports and special events such as sports competitions and concerts. There is a considerable breadth of users of park & ride facilities and what works for a rail commuter may not be ideal for either a person on a shopping trip or a family on a day out.

This conference will consider issues such as identifying the user, and how to keep them. It aims to enable transport, parking and facilities management professionals to share their experience and best practice. Delegates will be able to find out how local authorities have entered into partnerships with private sector bus operators, learn how to plan a long-distance park & ride and discover how airport park & ride schemes ensure passengers never miss their flights.
